Did you ever try to find a lost friend on the Internet?
October 3, 2009 by Stacy42 · 7 Comments
Have you ever tried to find a lost friend on the Internet? I have it is not as easy as you might think. I had a good friend in junior high and I have fond memories of hanging out having fun with him. We would hang out listen to music talk just have a great time.
The other day I was thinking about my long-lost friend and I decided to try to find them on the Internet. It seems everyone nowadays uses the Internet so I figured it shouldn’t be difficult to locate him. I pulled up Google typed his name and get pages on pages of results. I checked out page after page but didn’t find any mention of my friend just a lot of people with similar names.
I decided try to narrow my search a bit by including the town and state where we grew up. Unfortunately they were still too many pages to look through for it to be practical to find my lost friend. I decided Google just gave to many results so I would try using a less popular search engine like MSN.
I typed in my friends name and the city and state where we grew up and sure enough I did get a lot fewer results. Instead of hundreds of pages there are only eight. I started looking through those pages of results and I found a couple which I thought would surely lead me to find my lost friend. However, after an hour of searching I still came up empty.
Then I decided to try Yahoo. Since Yahoo search has been around longer than Google or MSN I thought I might have better luck there. Again I entered my friends name the city and state and this time I got about 30 pages of results. I started the arduous task of looking through each and every page and clicking on link after link. Now I was getting frustrated I spent all this time and still cannot find my lost friend.
I pretty much gave up on finding my friend until a couple months later when I discovered reunion.com. I decided to give the site a try and I was amazed at how quickly I was able to turn up results for my lost friend. The service was not free but considering the amount of time I have wasted trying to search in the regular search engines it was definitely worth the small price.
I was able to find a phone number for my friend and I gave them a call. He was very happy to hear from me. In fact, he had been searching for me also. We have a long phone conversation and it turns out that he lived close enough that we could meet for lunch. Although it was more difficult to locate my lost friend than I had imagined it was great to find him and I’m glad I put in the effort.
Why must I pay to lookup a cell number?
September 6, 2009 by Stacy42 · 4 Comments
Is it really possible to run a free cell phone reverse lookup on the Internet? Many people have been dismayed and frustrated in the past with sites that appear to provide free services online, but in actuality aren’t. Is this the case for the cell phone lookup?
To begin let’s discuss what we mean by a phone number search. When you have a home phone number but no idea who the number belongs to. You can use a reverse lookup site like Yahoo to see the details. Of course in situations when you lost contact with someone but still have a record of their phone number, or just to check who owns the number. There are many places where you can make these business and residential phone inquiries online searches for free, including fax numbers.
Unfortunately, trouble arises when you need to run a reverse lookup on a cell phone as the free databases don’t contain such phone numbers. So, if you’re searching an Oregon cell number you will have a problem. These listings do not contain cell phone numbers as this information is only in the hands of carriers and telecommunications companies. Do these records exist & are they available free?
The good news is that there are programs that offer a large number of cell numbers, but they aren’t free. These programs of course need to pay a premium to gain access to some of this data, and go to the great difficulty and cost of compiling all data in a single place and therefore, you must pay a small fee for access to their database. However, the fee is generally a single fee and you can do as many searches as you want. These records usually include cell owner details, address , carrier information, and the phone type and connection status. It should also be noted that the databases offered by each company differ to some degree, but most include cell phones, residential, business, fax, toll-free and pagers. With these websites your searches are guaranteed legal & confidential.
We have seen web sites that claim to provide free cell research, but that has always led to web sites charging a fee in the end. Some do allow people to search for free and then see the results. The sad truth is that the only place where you can find detailed reverse cell records is within the legitimate paid directories. In conclusion, cell phone searches are not free. However, if you really want to access this information, we think that it’s worth the fee.
Learn How Stock Prices Work and Some Helpful Tips
July 19, 2009 by Stacy42 · 3 Comments
Stock market game is more art than science. What are the factors that make stock prices fluctuate? The basics of economic supply and demand is obviously a major driving factor. But shouldn’t stock prices come as a logical effect of whether or not a company is making or losing money, and how much money and at what rate? Sounds like it makes sense, but it’s not all that easy. One overall conclusion can be made though – stock price depends on what price people are willing to pay for it. And yes, if a company is profitable its stock price is likely to rise, because companies that are highly profitable are more likely to pay dividends, or their stock price simply rises because more people want it and the prospects of what you bought for a low cost can now be sold at a higher price and that way you make money on the stock market.
It’s a common story how one’s virtual stock exchange turned into a gold mine and increased significantly in value and made them wealthy. But is this all true? There are also stories circulating saying that for each case of attempted penny stock success there’s a broken hearted investor. Luckily, that is not really the case either. Penny stocks should not be discounted. It’s just a field of stock trading that could be explored that has a certain degree of risk that every penny stock trader should have a knowledge of.
When searching for stocks that offer high dividends it is advantageous to look for corporations with relatively insignificant debt, and a high forecasted yield level. Search through a service such as Yahoo Finance or Google Finance and you can screen stocks based on dividend yields.
Full-service brokers are actively involved with things such as: how to buy stocks. They will call you with suggestions and advice. As per your request, they may also handle your holdings altogether and give tips whether to buy or to sell. With discount brokers, you still need to rely on yourself to figure out what and when to buy and sell. And regarding online brokers, they are much more affordable but you only have yourself to rely on. But if you fancy doing your own research and is thorough enough, it is definitely a viable option.
The news can be a huge factor in determining stock prices. If the newspaper announced that a certain business has just invented a better mousetrap that will rule the mousetrap market, it is more likely that their stock prices will skyrocket. Similarly, if a CEO of a corporation on the stock market is involved in a scandal or similar event that can be perceived as a liability for the company, it wouldn’t be surprising if the company’s stock went down.

Internet Marketers vs. Web Designers
January 6, 2009 by Stacy42 · 4 Comments
This concept is confused by those who are new to internet marketing. I am going to try to make this a very simple explanation, yet please make sure that you contact me if you have any questions. This is very important and you should fully understand the difference between an internet marketer and a web designer before you choose to ask for internet marketing help.
Definition of Web Designers:
Web designers are those who are paid to design web sites for individuals or businesses. These people are usually pros with html code, php, and all of the other types of programming that is commonly found on web sites. They focus very deeply on the color schematics and graphics of a web page in order to produce the flashiest end result. Sometimes they even create sites in FLASH, which is a type of design that you may have seen on sites in the past with a lot of motion and movement on the page. Sometimes, the pages even have a short introduction scene. These designers can be very talented, and sometimes they charge very healthy prices for their services. I have seen some quotes as low as $5,000 and up to $15,000 for some business websites.
Even though the sites that typical web designers produce may be very aesthetically pleasing, you must ask yourself a very important question before pulling out your wallet. Do you want a nice looking site only, or do you wish to have a site that is designed to get you brand new customers. The two desires could change whether or not you go with a web designer or an internet marketer for your project.
Definition of Internet Marketing Help
Internet marketers do exactly what their name states, they market on the internet. The actual website in itself to them is not as important as the actual marketing of the website. This is not to say that the websites that an internet marketer produces are not aesthetically pleasing, because they certainly are attractive looking sites.
The difference is that internet marketers usually use a different web site design and mechanism in order to receive the most favoritism from Google. What good is your website, if you are not being sent new customers from the most popular search engines like Google, Yahoo, and MSN? Search engine marketing is crucial for internet marketers to acquire the success that they desire. However, do not think that search engine marketing is the only tool that internet marketers utilize. There are many other off-page optimization techniques that can be utilized to market one’s website, and this is a tactic that 99% of web designers do not wish to utilize with their customers.
John’s Philosophy for the Internet Marketing Helpline
My main goal of this article was not to diminish web designers or the skills that they possess. However, I did want you to realize that sometimes more than just web design is needed for you to have success with your new website. It can sit idle without many visitors per day, or you can choose the Internet Marketing Helpline to turbocharge your web marketing so that your new site actually reaches your prospective client base.
