Time Management Tips For Internet Newbies
March 31, 2010 by Stacy42 · 4 Comments
Working online can be difficult at times, but it’s also a great adveture, if you choose to see it as such. One of the most common obstacles that people face is getting lost and sidetracked while doing something.
Here are a few tips that I picked up and implemented in my first year of working online, which helped me stay on course, remain productive and lead a balanced life and healthy business.
First, write to-do lists the night before.
Writing a list of things you need to do is very powerful and will keep you focused on your tasks. You could also detail when you have to do something and how long you estimate that it will take. Basically, plan out your business day to the smallest thing.
Second, make a plan and stick to it.
This concerns the problem that most newbies have online and that is information overload. Not only does it hinder your ability to run your business properly, it also gets you sidetracked and takes away precious time you could be spending working on your well designed plan.
For most people, the greatest enemy becomes the new information. Let’s say that you have learned a specific method of making money online and you’ve made a plan to stick with it and form your business around it. What good will it do for you to drop your plan every other day and go chasing after the “new method” and new information? None. Ignore anything that doesn’t include your plan and you will save valuable time.
Third, make sure your workspace is a forbidden zone for other people. you might have kids that like to run around, play with stuff and you might want to join them and spend time with them whenever it suits them. You have to remember that your home is now your office and you have to make some rules and limits. Other people have to respect your workspace and leave you to work for your designated mount of time.
These are just some of the simple tips that help new internet entrepreneurs thrive online.

Automatic Responders: This Millenium’s Instant Email Marketing Tool
February 13, 2010 by Stacy42 · 7 Comments
Autoresponders are today an online entrepreneur’s best friend.
With ever changing times and their everyday challenges, have you ever considered what a man’s best friend would be? As a newly established entrepreneur while promoting a new product, every field today needs you to get personal with its customers and consumers.
Now, it’s about quality and quantitative correspondence.
Most certainly, today it’s about networking and spreading your message to as many people as possible, either when a situation demands you to create a standard email at a specific time or when you are making an announcement. This is where autoresponders come in handy. Autoresponders are now often used by both small and big business organizations as email marketing tools that instantly provide information to their prospective customers and then facilitate a follow-up with them at preset time intervals.
Perhaps you have the knowledge but you have yet to reach out to customers far and wide. The solution to transmitting information to a large mass of recipients is a preset auto responder software. The following are the key features of autoresponders:
1. Automatically send information on a day to day basis;
2. Create a record of the time each recipient has been contacted;
3. Immediately create your organizational announcements and messages easily;
4. Set up numbers of lists and organize leads.
To begin with, we will consider the first feature of transmitting information on a day to day basis automatically. For an infinite number of times, preset autoresponders can be used at your technical support email address to inform your customers that you have received their emails and someone concerned will get back to them soon. This is an amicable way of providing a confirmation to a client, reassuring them that their concern or query will be seriously considered.
Autoresponders to a great degree have been productive in maintaining a record of recipients of a certain email announcement such as the price list of your products, your FAQ (frequently asked questions) and other information that you decide to include. This would enable you to prioritize the follow up calls to prospective customers.
Besides the above, the most popular use of free autoresponder is to spread the word on latest promotional offers, product launches or even notify change of address to your mailing list. As an example, there may be in excess of a hundred people who have registered themselves on your website requesting you to provide information on training modules that you have just announced.
Autoresponders in this case will not only confirm their registration but also make it convenient for you to email the modules to them on the destined time.
Autoresponders also help with the administrative functions as they are extremely organized. You can create multiple lists to keep track of leads and even organize data according to last message number, country, e-mail, status, and etc. all with a click of a button.
A word of caution, however, would be to make certain that auto responder software are not sent as automatic messages to people who are not supposed to receive a message from you as it could create a risk of spamming their mailboxes. Hence it’s best to have them either ask for the information through your website or instruct them to subscribe to your mailing list. As well, it would be sensible to include a note stating the reason for the email. Giving them a choice to unsubscribe to your mailing list is not only absolutely vital but a mandatory feature so as to maintain your company credibility and reputation.
