Should You Switch To Flat Sandals?

For the shoe specialist who has worn heels for the majority of her time, the thought of turning to flat sandals can look about as secure as scaling Mount Kilimanjaro in this year’s 6″ stilettos. While there are a number of truly beautiful flats around this season – amongst them the grungy gladiator sandal – the reality is that for a lot of girls wearing flat shoes for even just few short minutes is enough to send quick pains going up their legs. While it is persuasive to see this as explanation enough to stay clear of lousy shoes, in truth this searing pain is your best reason to get those feet in a duo of flats quick smart.
The difficulty with heels is that they warp your lower back into an unusual shape by thrusting your pelvis forward and crippling your back. While you walk in this strange pose your boobs and bottom are enforced to protrude at all sorts of angles that can feel all very sexy until you begin to face the long-term consequences of these orthopaedic bad dreams, which can contain chronic lower back pain and intervertebral disc impairment. Even though you can get used to walking in high heels – so much so that everything else feels atypical – the truth is that if you find it difficult to walk not including being bent this way, then chances are you’re at jeopardy of serious damage down the track.
Just take a look at your beloved Ecco shoes, ballet flats or even your sneakers and you’ll notice that the form of the shoe’s toe section comes to a point. Now take a glimpse at your feet. See the difference? When given ample breathing space our toes naturally assemble in an arc formation so that our feet are much wider at the front than at the back. Despite this, most fashion shoes get narrower at the toes and crunch them simultaneously, which can lead to bent big toes and painful (not to talk about unsightly) bunions. The force on those feeble tiny toes is made all the worse when they are lodged into high heels that transfer the weight of the body from the sturdy heel bone to the frail bones at the front of the feet. Now you know there is a worthy reason to wear flat sandals whenever you can.
