Choose From Thousands of Styles. Find The Perfect Frame

October 3, 2010 by · Leave a Comment

When shopping in stores for the perfect photo frame, it’s difficult not to notice the limited selection of sizes and styles. Often, decorators will have to sacrifice quality, price, or size on something that should be simple to buy. Sometimes it’s just easier to shop virtually, and it’s significantly easy with eFrame, a framing site that allows the customer to choose every aspect of a frame for little cost.

In a small garden shed is where this booming business began in 2002. With only a few employees, eFrame started out as a tiny framing business. Before long, though, they were gaining customers, and finally, the company had to move to a bigger space. They transferred to a state of the art, 33,000 square foot warehouse and manufacturing building, and they have over 30 staff members. Since then, the company has been making over a hundred thousand customers happy.

eFrame dominates other online framing businesses for a number of reasons, but one is its unique interactive software. The program is easy to use and allows customers to build unique frames, mounts, or both from scratch. Customers choose every aspect of the frame so that they can employ their creativity and make a specific frame for a specific photo.

Since eFrame’s photo framers are experienced and professional, quality is ensured. They have extensive skills in building specific frame sizes – even ones that can’t be found in stores. The staff uses computer-run equipment to make sure that each frame is built to visual perfection and quality.

The best part about eFrame is its wide spectrum of frame choices. Customers can choose from over a thousand different types of frames, and with all the color, material, and size combinations, no two frames will ever be the same. Nowhere else can a frame be found that will fit a room so perfectly because the customer can choose any material, any color, and any style. There’s no better way to choose a inimitable frame for a cherished photo.

For all these offered aspects of quality and individuality, the pricing seems impossible. Regardless, eFrame has mastered a way to make sure that the frames are expertly done, quickly done, and extremely affordable by the use of efficient productive lines. Comparable companies will charge more than double the cost of eFrame frames – the price and superiority combination simply cannot be matched.

eFrame is a site for the perfectionist in everyone. Its superior service and easy to use ordering process cannot be found elsewhere. eFrame also makes it possible to find a frame for even the most abnormal sized photos without having to settle on style. They offer the largest selections of frames anywhere on the internet for seemingly too-good-to-be-true prices. These combined advantages cannot be found elsewhere.

Health and Wellbeing Improved with Noni

December 10, 2009 by · 1 Comment

TAHITIAN NONI® Juice is a combination of the highest quality Morinda Citrifolia or Noni Fruit and grape and blueberry juices. It contains amazingly strong antioxidants, help support the immune system, enhances energy levels, speeds recovery after sports and supports a healthy heart by aiding the body’s natural defences against harmful free radicals. Noni juice

Free Radicals are compounds with unpaired electrons that are more likely to react with other molecules. Free radicals have been associated with damage to human cells.

Many studies have shown that oxidation caused by free radicals within the human body is not always a good thing. Antioxidants, including the phytochemicals and Vitamin C in TAHITIAN NONI® Juice, help the body by improving energy/exercise endurance, helping to maintain healthy cholesterol levels, supporting healthy/ proper immune system function and cardiovascular wellbeing.

The Vitamin C content of the unprocessed Noni Fruit is very high. Food safety laws require Noni fruit juice to be pasteurized. As with orange juice, pasteurization will reduce the vitamin C content, due to this vitamin being very heat sensitive.

Vitamin C is usually added back to orange juice products during manufacturing. Addition of ascorbic acid is not a part of the processing of TAHITIAN NONI® Juice. Vitamin C is not the only significant antioxidant in Noni fruit/Noni juice. Other antioxidant phytochemicals are of course present in the juice, which are classified as flavonoids, lignans, and iridoids. Some of these compounds have only been found to occur in Noni fruit so far.

Most people know that Noni juice has antioxidant properties, improves energy/exercise endurance, helps to maintain healthy cholesterol levels, and supports healthy/proper immune system function.

TAHITIAN NONI® Juice is the world most popular Noni product. There are other Noni juice products available, but none can claim the same history as TAHITIAN NONI® Juice. The manufacturing systems Tahitian Noni International uses and the choice to include puree , not just the liquid that can be squeezed from the fruit is not duplicatable.

As written at the bottom of all our web pages, this article has not been evaluated by the US FDA and these products are not intended to diagnose, treat, cure, or prevent any disease. Our website has further information and ordering information for Tahitian Noni products.

Kohler Faucets Are Boldly Looking to the Future

November 14, 2009 by · 6 Comments

Kohler is a name that immediately comes to mind for many folks when speaking of unsurpassed quality and value at reasonable prices. For more than 80 years, Kohler kitchen faucets and the brand of Kohler have been an industry institution.

Kohler’s business is literally ‘in-the-toilet,’ you could say. In reality, their business is not only in the toilet but also in top-quality lavatory faucets, kitchen faucets, bathroom accessories, showerheads, and all kinds of sinks. The refined, premium quality products of Kohler are produced under a variety of names including Hytec, Sterling, and of course, Kohler. In addition, Kohler also manufactures furniture under such brand names as McGuire and Baker, as well as Ann Sacks for stone, ceramic and mosaic tile.

Sales are mostly driven by demand from construction, telecommunications, electrical distribution and hardware retailing for Kohler’s manufacturing of kitchen faucets, lavatory and sink faucets, among a host of other plumbing supplies.

Kohler’s ability in being profitable is largely attributed to their efficient use of inventory management and their ability and skill in merchandising. Small operators, according to Hoovers.com, are able to compete in Kohler’s space through their efforts in stocking specialty products, delivering top-level service or by ensuring they stock all the inventory required by their customers. A highly-automated industry, the avvnual average revenue per employee averages around $450,000.

Lesser known activities such as Kohler’s development of generators, small engines and power supplies ffor both consumer and industrial applications are part of Kohler’s product line development. Kohler also invests in real estate operations, including a Wisconsin resort called ‘Destination Kohler, and the ‘Old Course Hotel Golf Resort and Spa located in Scotland.

What is Printed Circuit Board Assembly

October 16, 2009 by · 5 Comments

The layout has to be made in order to suit the circuit and hence the appropriate board with the right layout and circuit is real serious work of a technician and designer. The Camberwell lithography company became interested and offered Eisler a contract, which he did not read before signing. printed circuit board assembly If you have a device that is electronic in any way, chances are a printed circuit board, large or small, will be found inside.

The printed circuit assembly involves a lot of processes with the customer’s requirements being first most in this process. After concluding the design of the board with a client, I is then sent that design to them for the manufacturing.

The quality of printed circuit boards are an important part of the construction, since they provide mechanical support to the electronic devices. prototype printed circuit boards The board can be very simple, composed of one layer, or made up of layers that interlink components through conductive, copper pathways, which can be many in number depending on the complexity of the need.

At this part of the design, light is shone through a negative image on the circuit paths onto the photo resist and highlights the areas that will be left after the etching hardens. printed circuit board pcb Much of our standard assembly and design of the PCB are set and controlled by the standards published in the Association Connecting Electronics Industries Organization.

A Typical Theory of Constraints Implementation

October 9, 2009 by · 3 Comments

You’ve read all of the books on the Theory of Constraints and heard of the terrific successes other achieve with this method. You may be wondering what a real implementation looks like. I’ve led nearly 100 implementations and have seen a wide range of companies.

All implementations of the Theory of Constraints will follow this general pattern: procedure development, education, implementation, [LOOK AT THE BOTTOM LINE!], procedure and policy refinement, re-education and re-implementation. Implementations are fun and staggering in the bottom line results they achieve.

What can you expect in your implementation?

It’s difficult to give a specific answer to that question, since every organization is different. In general, the implementation goes like this:

* Enthusiastic changing of some policies

* Unbelievably positive improvement

* Less enthusiastic changing of more policies and procedures

* Positive improvement

* The constraint moves to an area not addressed by the initial implementation.

* Pretty good improvement

* Results level off

* Management looks elsewhere to improve

Most theory of constraints implementations in manufacturing are completed in less than 2 years. The plant is now running like clockwork, costs are down, performance is up. The constraint is no longer in manufacturing. The focus of the business and the improvement projects must now shift to external issues. So, rightfully so, the attention of the organization moves to other areas, not in manufacturing.

However in those 2 years you’ve implemented, your business will change in ways you can’t possibly imagine today. Your performance will level off at a much higher level of performance you are enjoying today. How about a 43% annual ROI? Could you sit there awhile? I know a company that did. How about taking your order fulfillment cycle from 3 weeks to 3 hours and stalling there? I know another company that did that.

The first stage of the implementation will be like housecleaning, with many constraints that you identify and then quickly break. Each time you break one, results improve. This period lasts about 90 days. Eventually, you’ll find a constraint that will be difficult to break. Might be the market. Might be the product. Might be a $2 million machine.

Then comes the hard work. Implementing the system to exploit and subordinate will take longer than the quick results you’ve been getting up until now. If you don’t prepare for it, the implementation can get bogged down here. This phase may take 30 days; it might take 6 months. It’s at this time the commitment you’ve gained in the prior steps will pay off. It’s not really that fun implementing a scheduling process and dealing with people that want to work on product early. You’ll also encounter the “back to Egypt” crowd here. (The “back to Egypt” crowd was the Israelites that thought they were better off being slaves in Egypt than being killed at the Red Sea – just before the Red Sea parted.) They’re the ones who will insist that everything was better before the theory of constraints management concept came around. They’ll resist changing. Project deliverables will be missed. People will be “reassigned” because they won’t change. It will happen.

The most difficult obstacle to continuing improvement is inertia. Your implementation process must move people from working in the business to actively working on the business. Anything you can do to remove the fear of change will help you achieve your goal.

A typical implementation of the theory of constraints gets positive bottom line results. If you’re committed to managing the constraints and not letting them manage you, you’ll continue to see positive results on your bottom line.

How to Manage Asbestos Removal

August 16, 2009 by · 3 Comments

Introduction

In recent years the effects of failing to manage the handling of asbestos in a secure and safe manner has grown dramatically on the health and safety agenda.

Employees who over many years worked in confined spaces where asbestos materials were present, or in the manufacture of materials or items which included asbestos as a key component have faced serious health issues. It is now widely recognised that the largest single work related cause of death is asbestos. It is for this reason, that health and safety information highlighting the dangers of incorrect control and the need for safe management and disposal of asbestos contaminated materials is high profile.

What is asbestos?

There are generally three forms of asbestos known as brown, blue and more common white asbestos. Asbestos is a naturally occurring fibre and is mined in various Countries but particularly in Russia, the largest producer, Canada and South Africa. Because of its unique resistance qualities, such as being resistant to heat, electricity and noise, it can be employed in several ways for industrial use or in building construction and also a key component for items such as brake linings and insulation.

Asbestos became widely used in the building industry in the late 19th Century. Hospitals, factories, schools and farm houses were all built with asbestos containing materials. Its qualities of being resistant to heat, flame retardant and a good insulator meant that it was widely recognised as very good construction material. Although asbestos today is rarely used in building development, many old buildings including long established hospitals, schools, farm barns and houses still contain asbestos in ceilings and walls. It was also widely used as a lagging material to wrap around steam pipes and boilers. Some household products such as early electric ovens also contained asbestos material, due to its excellent heat resistant qualities. Indeed I seem to recall the use of it in a very early electric oven at my grand parent’s house in the mid-late 1960′s. Just think of all those Shepherd Pies she used to make.

Nowadays to discover that asbestos is still present within a building, is likely to cause alarm amongst those people residing in it. People living close by are also likely to be concerned and very quickly an entire local community will becomeconcerned over the dangers of having asbestos close by.

However, as long as the asbestos is well maintained and is not releasing any dust, there is no hazard to health. Asbestos becomes a health hazard and is most dangerous when it is moved and if you breathe in asbestos fibres, it is this which creates the health hazard.

Asbestos is toxic and it is the dust being inhaled which can lead to serious illness such as breathing difficulties and in some cases forms of cancer, including lung cancer. From the mid-1980′s, countries within the European Union and some of the world’s other most developed countries have banned asbestos due to its high health risk concerns.Creating space to build new premises may require the demolition clearance of long established buildings.

Why is Asbestos Dangerous?

The breathing in of asbestos fibres is the cause of debilitating disease. So, if you work in an environment where many thousands of asbestos-related particles exist in the atmosphere, unless you wear the appropriate face mask protection, you are putting your health in danger.

Of course, many years ago the dangers were unrecognised and whilst asbestos related disease does not affect you immediately, in later life the effects will become more apparent. Currently asbestos is responsible for approximately 4000 deaths per year and every week, it contributes to the deaths of almost 40 tradesmen, including plumbers, electricians, carpenters and joiners. These trades are particularly at risk because the tradesmen will have been employed in environments where asbestos will have been present. The refurbishment of plumbing work in factories, hospitals, schools, houses and factories will have been a common requirement in recent years. Equally, electricians, carpenters and joiners will have been exposed to similar work in their professional fields. My father was an electrician before retiring ten years ago and over a thirty year period, rewired many factory premises, most likely working in asbestos contaminated areas

I used to work for a compressed air equipment manufacturer. The company’s main manufacturing site also included the offices, the manufacturing and assembly plant, the foundry and workshops. The whole site was constructed in the early 1900s and inevitably had used asbestos products within its construction. In the 1990s with much of the manufacturing moved overseas, it was decided to sell the site for redevelopment and the site has now been entirely demolished, ready for reconstruction. But just think how much of the construction material would have contained asbestos.

Before major demolition works could commence, a full site survey including an asbestos survey would have been required to identify and assess how to manage the removal of the asbestos material across the site. Each specific area would have required the advice of an approved asbestos management contractor and assurances of how the asbestos materials would be safely removed and disposed of. Due to the size of the site, this would have been a major task and also a costly one, but an essential requirement to ensure that all regulations relating to the management of asbestos material were adhered to.

Where is Asbestos Found?

If you visit an old building built around the 1950s, it is worth taking a look around to see where asbestos has been used and the types of materials which might contain asbestos.

Asbestos cement products, such as large sheets of a corrugated material are likely to be asbestos cement sheets. It is distinguishable as a hard grey coloured material in which asbestos has been mixed with cement. It is likely that if the sheets have been used on the roof, that similar flat sheets will have been used for wall cladding.

If a wall has been given a textured coating, then many old wall coating materials contained an asbestos mix to create the texture. On the floor, floor tiles made from asbestos may also be in place. Recognised for its fire retardant qualities, an asbestos spray may also have been used to coat wooden roof beams. Asbestos sprayed on walls and ceilings will have a high content of asbestos and is known to be easily disturbed just by movement and will give off dust. Then there will be asbestos used as a lagging material on pipes and plumbing equipment. Old established manufacturing or hospital premises are most likely to require asbestos removals disposal specialists when dismantling or demolishing the building.

Managing and Disposing of Asbestos

Since the banning of using asbestos took effect, the usual method by which asbestos is now disposed is through the use of landfill sites. There are however very strict guidelines on how asbestos should be managed and disposed of.

First you must decide how big a project the job is. If you have asbestos removal to undertake in the home then the best advice to remove asbestos safely is to employ a fully licensed asbestos removal specialist. The basic requirements for protection, including the wearing of a dust mask and a disposable overall, are not suggested as the limit of safety precautions and you will be will be much safer trusting this work to a specialist contractor. If you are removing sheets of asbestos for example from an old garage or shed, simply breaking one sheet up will release potentially harmful asbestos dust and fibres. Provided that there are no electrical cables and connections nearby, the asbestos removal specialist may treat the asbestos to be handled with water spray before commencing the removal of the material, but this kind of thing is not for the novice DIY enthusiast and should be left to an experienced specialist contractor at all times. Removed asbestos cannot simply be placed within your domestic waste for collection, it must be treated separately and either bagged or placed in a dedicated skip for safe disposal by specialists.

When the requirement for asbestos removal is much larger, the work should always be undertaken by a licensed commercial asbestos removal specialist. These specialists have received relevant training and certification and will have the correct equipment to manage the task effectively, safely and in accordance with the correct regulations. Older buildings may require a dismantling process to carefully remove any asbestos and this work is likely to involve the use of scaffolding or cranes to be able to undertake this work safely. The most important point to remember is that as the customer, asbestos is on your premises. You are responsible for the removal, handling and safe disposal of the asbestos so ensure that you appoint an approved contractor.

To ensure that dedicated skips are used in the disposal of asbestos some waste management contractors operate skips of a dedicated colour and ensure that these are used only for asbestos disposal. I know of one leading UK waste management company who have a two tone yellow and red painted skip used solely for the safe transportation and disposal of asbestos. As asbestos is classed as a hazardous waste material, only landfill sites licensed to take asbestos are permitted to accept asbestos into the site.

I recall a large automotive company going into administration and thousands of brake lining pads had to be removed as part of a major site clearance project. Although they were all boxed, the fact that asbestos had been used in their manufacture meant that a specialist contractor was brought in to manage the removal and disposal of the stock. In today’s environment where recycling is a buzz word, it is very difficult and costly to recycle asbestos. A high temperature process can transform asbestos fibers into a harmless silicate glass or an industrial microwave thermal treatment process can transform asbestos waste into ceramic bricks or tiles. Consider the environmental benefits of carefully dismantling, reusing or recycling the materials.

Health and Safety Issues when Working with Asbestos

Before commencing any work, if it is thought that asbestos may be present, the project manager must undertake a complete project plan. No employee should be placed at risk, in an environment where asbestos is potentially located.

Through a complete site survey, it must be established if materials containing asbestos are present and the work must be planned to either avoid disturbance or the need to dismantle and remove these materials.

If the asbestos materials are to be removed, it is essential that the work should be undertaken by an [approved|licensed} asbestos contractor, who has completed the appropriate asbestos awareness and training courses and is certificated.

It is also important to note, whether the premises will need to be vacated whilst the work is to be undertaken. If people remain in or near the area where asbestos is to be removed, disturbance of the material will place anyone in the close vicinity of the project in danger. Other considerations and decisions will need to be taken as well, particularly if there is a need to work at height and identify precisely what equipment is to be required to complete the task safely.

All major projects, should be supervised throughout and inspected at various stages to ensure that the work complies with regulation and at the end of the task, and that it is safe for employees to reoccupy the premises.

Of course, throughout the project, the contract manager must ensure that arrangements have been made for the safe disposal of all asbestos waste. For those undertaking the task, vigilance will be required throughout the project to protect their own health. Face masks will be worn, as will appropriate clothing such as a disposable all in one overall. Clean as you go is a strategy employed by asbestos removal specialists as they work through the project to limit the amount of asbestos dust spreading to other parts of the building.

Conclusion

The strict regulations which now surround the handling and management of asbestos will in nearly all cases require that any project involving the removal of asbestos materials is managed by a specialist asbestos removal contractor.

Without specialist knowledge, awareness and the correct equipment, any project involving asbestos removal brings potential danger. Not just health concerns, but for the company and contractor, the need to ensure that the rules and regulations which govern the management of projects where asbestos is present are complied with. Also any company engaging a contractor who does not comply with the correct legislation will be responsible themselves, not the contractor.

Often referred to as the hidden killer, improved knowledge and awareness of the devastating effects that asbestos can have upon one’s health is now well documented. It is hoped that in the coming years we will begin to see a decline in asbestos related disease or illness. Unfortunately until the mid-1980s, for those who had worked in or around environments where asbestos was present, the worry of asbestos related death remains.

Whichever way you look at it, asbestos brings cause for concern if it is present in your premises, so seek the advice of a specialist asbestos removal contractor to ensure the effective and compliant management of the removal of your asbestos.
