There are some things to consider when buying a mirror for your wall. You need to know which room the mirror will be hung in and figure out what will blend best with the rooms décor. The first question you will need to ask is where you intend to hang the wall mirror. This will give you an indication of what style you will need. Some of the most popular types of wall mirror include traditional, modern, kids, frameless, and Venetian. You wll have lots of choices to make when determining the the shape of wall mirror you select. Some of your options are round, square, oval, rectangle, sunburst, arches, and abstract.

You can also order a custom wall mirror in just about any shape you can image. Large wall mirrors that come in a non uniform shape are considered custom. Some ideas of large mirrors include sectional mirrors in a single frame or triangular mirrors. You will also need to determine if you want glass with a bevel or a flat edge. You can easily find samples of both types of glass and then you will have an idea of which one you like best. ECUADOR – one state with four genuinely distinguishing geographic regions

February 1, 2009 by · 1 Comment

The three main geographic regions on the mainland are:

  • The coast also designated “La Costa” on the Pacific Ocean
  • The highlands also designated “La Sierra” which means the mountain range of the Andes running from North to South through the whole state
  • and the Amazon rainforest also called “El Oriente”.

The Galapagos Islands – the fourth region is an insular region in the Pacific Ocean.

All this makes Ecuador to one of the most variegated states in the world. Ecuador is besides Chile the only country in South America that has no border to Brazil. In the north you find Columbia, in the east and south Peru and in the west there is the Pacific Ocean. The name Ecuador originatesfrom fact that the country is located at the equator. This explains also the small variation in daylight hours over the year.

We discovered a part of the Andes doing some trekking. Main intnetion was to climb the volcano called Cotopaxi Ecuador. Cotopaxi is 5.897 m high and is one of the highest active volcanoes in the world and the second highest mountain in Ecuador. Because it is so high it is inevitable to acclimate before climbing this mountain. So we did some other ascents before to volcanoes like “Rucu Pichincha” near to the capital Quito and the “lliniza Norte”.

These trips were only amazing, just imagine standing there over 5.000 m on the top of a mountain after walking from midnight to the sunrise through the darkness and then all of a sudden the sun rises it gets bright and you are looking to the valley above seeing the sun rising above the clouds and there is nothing else just the glacier that twinkles in the sunlight and the sun shines so bright that you nearly cannot see – only the blue sky behind… you cannot describe it you have to experience it – it is amazing…

My conclusion for this trip is that it was just perfect for Ecuador trekking. The diversity of this country makes it a worthwhile experiences.

Silence

January 23, 2009 by · 2 Comments

Have you ever really enjoyed silence? I mean really enjoying being alone, with nothing to do but the simple act of just being. Well I’m proud to think as myself as a proud silence lover, but it wasn’t until this Friday at my Akumal villa that I realized how much I enjoyed having nothing to listen at but silence, for a moment there I couldn’t even heard the sea waves, I completely blocked them from my senses.

Lying on a sandy beach at a spring sunny day, with a delicious refreshing mist, a strange inclined sunlight which more often than not makes you squint, and a blank head. How could anything be more indulgable than a blank mind in paradise? How would anyone enjoy paradise with unsolved issues on their mind. How would anyone rest while dreaming? Ever since I’ve moved to this Akumal villa I’ve been having so much recall dreams, every one of them I remember and as much as I tried I cannot decipher them. Their location is often a recurrent one and many of the characters are the same. How then is it that I can put my mind on blank?

The thing that concerns me today is not the stuff I haven’t solve in my mind, I mean I’m an adolescent who has many things to make up before turning 35, what I want to know is how do I program myself not to think, to completely block my head. It only happens when I’m at this Akumal villa, more specifically on Akumal’s bay beach and only when I’m alone lying on the sandy beach.

Volunteer And Find A New World When You Get Away

January 10, 2009 by · 2 Comments

Have you thought about volunteering in some remote village for your next vacation? Cross-Cultural Solutions (CSS) has been a leader in helping organize these types of vacations for years. A lot of people have worked with CSS since their formation and been to remote parts of the world. The idea is increasing to combine volunteerism with sight seeing experiences. You can even arrange your own trip through Expedia, Travelocity or Cheap Carribean and a top charity organization like the Red Cross.

You can find many organizations now operating who can work out a travel trip for you where you can have good sights to view along and indulging your self in some volunteering to aid the people. They give you travel options to choose from along with the definition of the work and the amount of time that you will have to spend at a particular location. The areas of most common interest of volunteers are health related and education.

Many volunteers seem to be interested in traveling to impoverished destinations rather then their usual travel destinations. It is not good only for students but also for executives. They can take their families along as they and as they have the financial resources, they can also help them out financially when they visit. There are many companies operating to arrange these outings, they can now even arrange your specific activities for you like teaching English in some far off country for example in India or can opt to teach soccer in some remote land. Some organizations have also sent volunteers to Panama to help the people suffering from the recent landslides. We have also seen many media people working in Bolivia as professional graphic designers.

The options are limitless for volunteering. You can find many programs which can make your volunteer vacation low cost or even free in some cases. Work with the Red Cross, Unicef or Unitd Way and find a cheap package with Orbitz Coupons. Your help will be greatly appreciated and you will have the time of your life.
