How To Loose Weight Fast

October 10, 2011 by · Leave a Comment

Many people need to lose some weight, that’s a fact.  Look around where people gather, you’ll see it.  Look in the mirror, unfortunately you’ll likely see it there too.  If you’ve made fast weight loss your goal, keep a few simple things in mind to take off the pounds quickly and safely.

Skipping meals is one of the first things people often try when they want to lose weight.  Hey, if eating fewer calories is the goal then why not skip breakfast or lunch.  Doesn’t weight loss come with eating less calories?  Yes, but skipping meals is a mistake, not the right way to reduce calories.  Your body thinks it’s being starved when you skip meals.  It goes into “starvation” mode.  It starts to retain fat to counteract what it perceives as a food shortage.  When you skip meals you’ll end up hungrier at the next meal.  This could lead to binge eating.  Skipping meals is the worst of both worlds that results in gaining even more weight.  Don’t skip meals. You can find more information regarding how to boost your metabolism here.

Have a plan on how much to eat.  Portion control is just as important as eating the right food.  Too much of even a healthy food still results in weight gain.  It’s hard to do when large portions are so common.  Restaurants serve over large portions, as do most people at home.  Sources such as the FDA list recommended daily allowances.  If you must eat out, keep portion size in mind.  You’ll likely have to cut down on what a restaurant serves.

Replace white foods such as white bread, white rice and sugar with whole grain foods.  Whole grains are rich in nutrients and low in fat.  The fiber in whole grains will make you feel fuller faster and longer.  Also whole grains contain many nutrients that are often lacking in people’s diets.

Drink more water.  Drink it instead of juices and sodas which add about 90,000 calories to the average person’s diet each year.  Drink water between meals too.  In fact, the goal is 8 glasses of water each day.  It’s easily possible.  Drinking water also promotes health in general by keeping you well hydrated and cool. Learn a good tip in how to boost your metabolism.

Eat healthy snacks between meals.  The body needs food every three to four hours to maintain proper blood sugar.  Eating healthy snacks, such as fruits, helps control eating at meal times.

Fast weight loss isn’t impossible with a little knowledge and planning.  It won’t be long before you’re slimmer and trimmer.

My Top Ten Skin Care Tips

March 16, 2010 by · 2 Comments

If you want to look your best a healthy skin is essential. If you are not sure how to achieve this, follow my top ten tips and you will not go far wrong.

# Be aware of your skin type. Because there are different products for each skin type, it is important that you use the correct one.

# Drink water every day. Some say that you need to drink eight glasses of water a day to ensure that your body is fully hydrated. Your skin will thank you for it.

# Regular cleansing. Use lukewarm water to wash your face twice a day to clean all the dirt and grime.

# Use gentle actions. Avoid excessive scrubbing and try not to exfoliate too hard. Also take care not to overdo the creams and lotions.

# Use a moisturizer

regularly. Do not let your skin become dry because dryness causes the outer layer of your skin to break, leading to a rough and unattractive appearance. Use a moisturizer daily.

# Stay out of the sun. # Keep away from strong sunlight. Avoid the sun between 10 a.m. and 3 p.m. This is when the harmful ultraviolet (UV) rays are strongest.

# Use sunscreen. But not just any sunscreen, it is important to use the correct product. The SPF or sun protection factor varies widely and you need to choose a product with an SPF of at least 15. In addition go for one that includes

broad spectrum protection and is water resistant.

# Wear protective clothing. Wear a hat with a brim wide enough to shade your neck as well as your head. Also choose lightweight shirts with long sleeves and long pants to protect you from the sun.

# Keep away from artificial tanning. Tanning beds and sun lamps act on your skin in the same way as the sun with its harmful UV rays, so should be avoided. Tanning pills may appear to be harmless, but contain an additive that has not been approved by the FDA. Tanning makeup does not contain sunscreen so will provide no protection.

# Check your skin often. Keep an eye on any birthmarks, moles or spots and if you notice any changes in the size, shape or color consult your doctor. Fair-skinned people are advised to have an annual skin check.

So there you have it – my top ten skin care tips for a healthy skin.

Why Are Generic Prescription Drugs So Inexpensive?

March 9, 2010 by · 4 Comments

The answer lies in the Indian Pharmaceutical Industry.

The World Trade Organization (WTO) treaties between nations protect patents and trademarks. India is one of few nations that selected a patenting scheme based upon protection of the manufacturing process (Process Patents) rather than using the more common scheme of protecting the actual product (Product Patents).

Indian Patent law therefore allows scientists to legally manufacture a prescription drug that has been patented. In other words, a drug that is already under patent law may be duplicated as long as a different process is used to create the same drug (or active ingredient) than the process used in the original patent. As a result, Indian pharmaceutical chemists use reverse engineering to legally create drugs. These prescription drugs, that are still patent protected in some areas, are sold worldwide.

As a result, these patented drugs can be marketed at prices that reflect their real manufacturing costs rather than a monopoly price that has been determined by competition, high costs of research and development, advertising, and promotions to doctors and the U.S. public. Finally, because India has very strict price controls on the retail selling prices of drugs, Indian pharmacies are inhibited from being able to raise their prices higher than these limits. The result is that India has become the largest producer of generic drugs in the world; drugs which have continuously met high health and medical standards.

At one website, ExpressMedsCanada.com, you can order generic drugs that are manufactured in India, whose enormous pharmaceutical industry is largely owned and operated by U.S. drug companies. All of their medications are factory machine sealed in blister packaging and untouched by human hands. In fact, their agreement with their fulfillers requires that all of the drugs offered are made in production plants that are U.S. FDA inspected and approved.

These drugs, legally made and patented in India, come without huge development and advertising costs and are legal for sale worldwide at a fraction of the cost of the name brand they duplicate. For this reason, their prices for generic drugs are low. Of course, U.S. companies have spent billions in advertising to convince you that brand and generic drugs are not the same in terms of mechanism of action, although their use is encouraged by AARP.

Health and Wellbeing Improved with Noni

December 10, 2009 by · 1 Comment

TAHITIAN NONI® Juice is a combination of the highest quality Morinda Citrifolia or Noni Fruit and grape and blueberry juices. It contains amazingly strong antioxidants, help support the immune system, enhances energy levels, speeds recovery after sports and supports a healthy heart by aiding the body’s natural defences against harmful free radicals. Noni juice

Free Radicals are compounds with unpaired electrons that are more likely to react with other molecules. Free radicals have been associated with damage to human cells.

Many studies have shown that oxidation caused by free radicals within the human body is not always a good thing. Antioxidants, including the phytochemicals and Vitamin C in TAHITIAN NONI® Juice, help the body by improving energy/exercise endurance, helping to maintain healthy cholesterol levels, supporting healthy/ proper immune system function and cardiovascular wellbeing.

The Vitamin C content of the unprocessed Noni Fruit is very high. Food safety laws require Noni fruit juice to be pasteurized. As with orange juice, pasteurization will reduce the vitamin C content, due to this vitamin being very heat sensitive.

Vitamin C is usually added back to orange juice products during manufacturing. Addition of ascorbic acid is not a part of the processing of TAHITIAN NONI® Juice. Vitamin C is not the only significant antioxidant in Noni fruit/Noni juice. Other antioxidant phytochemicals are of course present in the juice, which are classified as flavonoids, lignans, and iridoids. Some of these compounds have only been found to occur in Noni fruit so far.

Most people know that Noni juice has antioxidant properties, improves energy/exercise endurance, helps to maintain healthy cholesterol levels, and supports healthy/proper immune system function.

TAHITIAN NONI® Juice is the world most popular Noni product. There are other Noni juice products available, but none can claim the same history as TAHITIAN NONI® Juice. The manufacturing systems Tahitian Noni International uses and the choice to include puree , not just the liquid that can be squeezed from the fruit is not duplicatable.

As written at the bottom of all our web pages, this article has not been evaluated by the US FDA and these products are not intended to diagnose, treat, cure, or prevent any disease. Our website has further information and ordering information for Tahitian Noni products.

Noni Supports Your Body Natural Defences

October 8, 2009 by · 3 Comments

To maintain a healthy lifestyle we all need to make smart choices every day. From our meals to when we exercise is of primary importance. A healthy lifestyle is something that can only be accomplished by making smart choices every day.

The Noni tree has been one constant item in the lives of the South Pacific Islanders for thousands of years. Morinda Citrifolia as it has been named in our century is light green, a bit bumpy and is extremely unpleasant to smell once ripe. The Noni’s health benefits far exceed the strong smell it gives off when ripe. Historically it was used by the traditional Tahitians in their treatment of common health complaints. We have universities and private laboratories to study the Noni in this century but sometimes the advice of an experienced Tahitian elder still opens up surprising new avenues of use .

Everybody I have ever met seems to have a goal of staying fit and eating a healthy diet regardless of how hard it sometimes seems. In order to stay healthy it is important not only to eat a varied and balanced diet, but also to live a healthy lifestyle, keep active, maintain healthy weight. We recommend our products a part of a healthy lifestyle.

Maintaining a health immune system is critical to your overall well being. Noni the main ingredient in TAHITIAN NONI Juice with its array of nutrients and antioxidants can help support a healthy immune system. Market research has shown that our Noni Juice is the most popular Noni juice Worldwide.

As indicated at the bottom of all our web pages, these statements have not been evaluated by the US FDA and these products are not intended to diagnose, treat, cure, or prevent any disease. Our website has the details and ordering information.

Where To Buy Parvaid

June 21, 2009 by · 6 Comments

The problem of where to buy Parvaid doesn’t seem like it should be too hard – just go to the local store and pick up a bottle.

Sorry, that’s just too easy; it is a little more involved than that.

Parvaid is an herbal product that is free of both chemicals and synthetics. It is both effective and safe. Lamentably, it is not a chemical-based drug, which means that most vets who are trained in Western Medicine totally dismiss organic products as just some alternative solution that cannot possibly work as it is not approved by the FDA.

Herbal products that are botanicals or food supplements, which is true of Parvaid and all of the other products required to treat Parvo, do not have to be evaluated by the FDA and therefore need not be approved by the US Food and Drug Administration.

A wall of resistance seems to go up as soon as you mention non-traditional or non-mainstream products. Most vets know nothing about organic treatments, and on most occasions they will be quite dismissive of any product that hasn’t come from a drug manufacturer as they get a lot of financial incentives for pushing the big pharmaceutical companies’ drug; whereas the small independent herbalist can’t match the payoff levels that a Pfizer can dangle in front of a struggling vet.

It’s therefore very hard to get inexpensive herbal products into established distribution chains. The financial rewards are simply not there, there will be much less residual income, which is because herbal products usually provide long-term relief vs. drugs that cause a wide range of side-effects creating a scenario of still further drugs to counter-act the side-effects, and all this ever does is to put a sticking plaster on the problems, to the point where you could end up taking pills and such indefinitely – which brings in a steady flow of cash each month.

Given a choice between getting paid once or getting paid over and over, which do you think the big drug companies will select?

Sadly, in this country we once had a proud tradition of using natural products to treat all kinds of ailments, but 200 years ago or so, drugs began to surface, massive marketing campaigns were set up proclaiming how marvelous drugs are and that they are the only route to good health, and so the propaganda machine continued at full force.

Companies in the organic marketplace have never been able to compete with the pharmaceutical fat cats, with their deep pockets, and for the most part, still can’t. If you brainwash people, day after day after day, with hype-filled ads that play on their emotions, they will get so worn down that they will come to believe the only viable solution is drugs.

The “pop a couple of pills and everything will be OK” mentality is all that most people know, because it’s what they grew up with. But nowadays bugs (i.e. parasites, viruses, germs, bacteria) are getting very strong and resistant to conventional treatments. Chemical-based drugs are much easier to find, but it’s highly likely that they won’t offer you the level of relief that you need.

Products like Parvaid work with the body, and not against, it, to help it heal from within. It would be nice to be able to go to your local market and find these organic type products, but as they are not mainstream and there are no big companies willing to promote this type of alternative treatment plan, you will rarely find these types of products in supermarkets, or even in any of the larger pet stores such as Pet Smart of Pet Co. You may, however, have some success if you look in small independent pet stores or feed stores.

But there are some things you need to be aware of first.

Most of the smaller retailers selling Parvaid just carry this product like any other product, and they know nothing about how it works or how to use it successfully. For them this is just another product on the shelf.

Now, in order to maximize your dog’s chance for a successful recovery, you will need to know how to use this product and you will also have to administer several home remedies for Parvo in conjunction. Unfortunately, most retailers neither have the necessary knowledge nor expertise.

Another crucial factor is that the manufacturer now specifies a minimum requirement for four different products to treat dogs with Parvo (as well as exposed adult dogs), and yet many retailers do not carry the full set of required products.

This leaves you with a dilemma: spend valuable time hunting down a retail store in your area (and this could be hundreds of miles away) and hope that they have what you need product-wise, and then come home and deal with your sick pets on your own as best you can, or you could buy the products online.

Now of course, if you buy from the retail store it would save some a bit of time (and perhaps some money as you would not have to pay for shipping – just gas and time), but you will not get any support whatsoever. If something goes wrong, you will not be able to get any help from them as they won’t know how to answer your questions – they just don’t have that body of knowledge.

If you buy Parvaid online, then you must look at who is selling the products, how much experience do they have in case you need help, which is most of the time, and how trustworthy is their website.

The Internet is well known for being a place where websites will take your money and run, without ever delivering what you ordered.

So, one key to look for is how much material is available on the subject of Parvo. If you can’t find very much (and on some sites, you’ll find none at all), then it’s highly likely that these are nothing more than a few additional products to them, which in turn means they’ll know very little about Parvo and its treatment

Something else to look out for is the range of shipping methods that they use. If the only shipping method is USPS Priority Mail, this is a really good sign that they just don’t get it – Parvo is a deadly virus that kills at a frightening speed, and anything slower than FedEx or UPS Overnight services is just too slow. Some sites even offer free Priority Mail shipping, in an attempt to gain your business, but please don’t be tempted by these, because the money you think you’re saving will probably cost your dog his life, as you wait an extra one to three days for that life-saving package to arrive in the mail.

We’ve dealt with 870 cases of Parvo (and counting), we will only use FedEx Priority Overnight (deliveries Monday through Saturday) if your dog is sick, we wrote a 100+ page book all about Parvo which you can download instantly to your computer, Parvo Treatment 101 (no charge), we have developed (and frequently update) the most comprehensive Parvo Home Remedy Plan that will help sustain your sick dog until your products can be delivered, and throughout the treatment schedule, that you will find anywhere on the Internet, and we are the only company who offer all customers completely free and unlimited 24 x 7 phone support and personal coaching.

If you have Parvo on your property in the case of dogs, or Feline Distemper in the case of cats (unfortunately, cats can become infected from Parvo dogs in the form of Feline Distemper), then you will need support throughout this horrifying ordeal.

If you have not already done so, please visit ParvoBuster to help get your pets back on their feet again, and while you’re there, don’t forget to check out the Parvaid testimonials left by some of our many satisfied customers.
