Stunning Hawaii – A Fantastic Destination

Ahhh Beautiful Hawaii is one of the very best tourist areas in the world. For good reason too! This set of islands provides beauty beyond compare and doesn’t require a passport for American citizens. It’s the 50th of the fifty states, but the culture here is so various it feels like you’re in a totally unique country.
There are numerous islands in Hawaii, however the eight foremost ones are : Hawai’i, better-known as The Big Island, Maui, The Valley Isle, Kaho’olawe, The Target Isle, Lana’i, The Pineapple Isle, Moloka’i, The Friendly Isle, O’ahu, The Gathering Place, Kaua’i, The Garden Isle and of course Ni’ihau, The Forbidden Isle.
The Hawaiian language has a Polynesian origin, but English is prominently spoken here as well. Both are well-established languages. Use of the Polynesian form has slowly diminished over the years however the school system is starting to foster the use in order to maintain Hawaii’s history. Many are pre-schools hoping to impart this ancient knowledge into the future of the state so it won’t be lost forever.
On the Big Island is the world’s highest mountain, Mauna Kea. Though Mauna Kea is recognized worldwide as being just 13,796 feet, the actual elevation as calculated from it’s base nearly 20,000 feet underneath the sea, is significantly different. Indeed, at an overall 33,500 feet it is higher than Mt. Everest. Impressive!
Gorgeous climatic conditions can be found any time of the year, with the lowest temperatures averaging only 60 degrees. It has common tropical island temperatures with a little less humidity because of trade winds which blow throughout all of the islands. Usually there are only two seasons in these islands. The dry season occurs from May until October and the wet period takes place from October until April.

The Japanese attacked Pearl Harbor on December 7, 1941 and brought The United States into the second World War.
