Special Wedding Always Include Unique Wedding Favors

Wedding favors have been around for a very long time. Wedding keepsakes are a common site at today’s weddings with wedding favors for each guest on the reception table. Because wedding favors have become such a distinctive part of the wedding experience today, finding something special for your wedding can be a little overwhelming. Ask a family member when you have questions regarding cupcake wedding cakes.
Wedding favors can range anywhere from toasting glass to something very personalized with the couple’s name. There is a difference between the bridal shower favors and the wedding favors although both will represent the wedding.
Wedding guests are given a gift because many years ago in places like Italy and France guests were always sent home with a small present referred to as a Bonbonniere. The traditional gift the guests were given was a small box made of a polished stone or crystal and had a few treats made of sugar. This is where the wedding favor tradition started. Check the internet when you have questions about unique wedding favor.
These Bonbonnieres were given out because they were supposed to be lucky. The couple gave these little gifts of luck hoping they would also find luck. Five almonds covered with sugar was the accepted gift to be presented to the guests. The five almonds stood for happiness, health, fertility, long life and wealth. The almond treats are still used today but instead of covered with sugar they are coated with candy like an M&M. The special meaning of these gifts make a lovely addition to the celebration and they are not very costly. Ask a family member or co-worker when you have questions regarding wedding favors.
The marketplace today offers numerous ideas that will make your wedding favors memorable. They can be candles, personalized candies, unique place card holders that can double as frames, wine themed favors, decorative scented soaps, fresh teas with customized packets with the couple’s names and date of the wedding, just to name a few ideas.

You could have a little conference with the co-worker before the meeting and mention the time factor
It depends on what month you go, what day of the week you fly and which airport you use. If you can drive to a larger airport, it could save you a lot of money, as domestic US flights tend to be very expensive. You don't say where in Kansas you live, but Denver or Kansas City would probably be your best choice. Avoid flying on the weekends if you can, Saturdays are especially expensive.
The best web sites for finding cheap tickets are European-based flight comparison engines:
Using Momondo, I found weekday flights in July from Kansas City to Paris for about $850 round trip and in September for about $750. The same dates from Denver cost $825 and $725. The prices that the other answers gave you are much too high. I had to take an emergency flight from Norway to Denver earlier this year, booked only one day ahead of time, and it only cost $1200 regular fare.
A hostel bunk in Paris will cost about $32/night at current exchange rates, and a double room in a 2-star hotel costs about $100/night. I always stay at Hotel de la Porte Dorée, if you need a recommendation.
