This is a weird one. Electric car stores far more energy than it needs (and potentially harvests wind energy to help charge the batteries). The car is then plugged into the grid to use the excess energy to power the city’s normal power grid. The car is supposed holds enough excess to power 7-8 houses for 30 minutes. This is supposedly to smooth the power supply from the plants, which “can’t store energy”. Personally, I’d just put in batteries at the plants, but feeding your excess into the grid pays you back, supposedly saving thousands per year in power bills.
