If you want to look your best a healthy skin is essential. If you are not sure how to achieve this, follow my top ten tips and you will not go far wrong.
# Be aware of your skin type. Because there are different products for each skin type, it is important that you use the correct one.
# Drink water every day. Some say that you need to drink eight glasses of water a day to ensure that your body is fully hydrated. Your skin will thank you for it.
# Regular cleansing. Use lukewarm water to wash your face twice a day to clean all the dirt and grime.
# Use gentle actions. Avoid excessive scrubbing and try not to exfoliate too hard. Also take care not to overdo the creams and lotions.
# Use a moisturizer
regularly. Do not let your skin become dry because dryness causes the outer layer of your skin to break, leading to a rough and unattractive appearance. Use a moisturizer daily.
# Stay out of the sun. # Keep away from strong sunlight. Avoid the sun between 10 a.m. and 3 p.m. This is when the harmful ultraviolet (UV) rays are strongest.
# Use sunscreen. But not just any sunscreen, it is important to use the correct product. The SPF or sun protection factor varies widely and you need to choose a product with an SPF of at least 15. In addition go for one that includes
broad spectrum protection and is water resistant.
# Wear protective clothing. Wear a hat with a brim wide enough to shade your neck as well as your head. Also choose lightweight shirts with long sleeves and long pants to protect you from the sun.
# Keep away from artificial tanning. Tanning beds and sun lamps act on your skin in the same way as the sun with its harmful UV rays, so should be avoided. Tanning pills may appear to be harmless, but contain an additive that has not been approved by the FDA. Tanning makeup does not contain sunscreen so will provide no protection.
# Check your skin often. Keep an eye on any birthmarks, moles or spots and if you notice any changes in the size, shape or color consult your doctor. Fair-skinned people are advised to have an annual skin check.
