If your car has a camshaft that's not turning then the timing belt is broken or the engine is seized and again the belt would be broken. How the mechanic can tell the plugs are original is beyond my comprehension.Vauxhall always used Delco Remy plugs in years gone by and when the car was serviced in a Vauxhall garage the same make of spark plug was always used.Timing belts and engine seizure are possibly preventable by correct servicing but you have had the car for over 6 months.I wouldn't try suing anyone if i were you because i believe you will be further out of pocket.Your mechanic's initial diagnosis is vague and the engine needs to be stripped before accurate diagnosis and cost of repair can be determined but with luck it wont be as bad as you suspect.

I can tell you that on the other side of the pond, texting from the UK to the US certainly DOES cost more than a normal text, and isn't counted within our "inclusive" texts either.
